Barbini Specchi Veneziani’s Back to the Future
Barbini Specchi Veneziani, the oldest existing mirror producer from Murano, unveiled a remarkable experience—’Back to the Future’. Conceived as an homage to their inherited expertise in engraving and mirror production dating back to the 17th century, the exhibition juxtaposed tradition and innovation. A silver Murano glass cube, symbolic of a space-time portal, transported the visitors into an opulently reconstructed Venetian living room. Complementing the ancient, lay the contemporary—new mirror collaborations like ‘Tomato’ by Bethan Laura Wood, Lucia Massari's ‘Test series’, Victoria Wilmotte's ‘Azzurro ZigZag’, and ‘Lime Standing Zig Zag’, Laura Sattin's lagoon tributes, Rio Kobayashi's ‘Rorrim Rorrim’ and Elena Trevisan's ‘In The Jungle Collection’.
